Greetings from Italy Giancarlo. Thank you so much for this walk through! I purchased a pair of the Tessan dimmers, and successfully flashed them over the air using tuya-convert and your instructions. The new overall behavior of the dimmer switch did not make my wife happy. I found that his forked firmware of Tasmota contains the MJ Martin Jerry Dimmer module that works perfectly with the Tessan dimmers, bringing my dimmers to their original behavior.
Winston, I also purchased the Tessan dimmers and am getting weird behavior using the settings. Can you explain how the forked bin is applied? My wife is also giving me the stink-eye :. This is a great article and has helped me get going. A labour intensive process. In these trial-and-error attempts I seem to have got the switch into a bad state.
No magic formula for getting them back into working shape, sometimes you can hold down a button during power on. Do you know what change caused it to brick? I entered the wrong password of my SSID in the initial setup…. Now, device cannot connect to the wifi… Any suggestion to help me out of soldering pin in this ultra small plug? If you have another router you can create a network with the same SSID and no password open network and connect your plug to it, then you can log into your plug and change to the correct password.
Make sure to do this somewhere other than inside your existing wifi network or you could screw some stuff up. Not sure what the issue is.
I have also had some difficulty with getting the Tuya Convert to hold the wifi Signal. Has anyone had similar challenges? Your email address will not be published. Skip to content. Hi thanks for the info. I can do the switching with HomeAssistant. I works fine. However, my model is SP and that measures also the energy consumption. This is not visible in HA, only the switch function.
Is there any way to get the readings? It would be great. NB I also have a switch of Meross that also measures the energy consumption. That one works fine as switch and gives also energy consumption in HA.GitHub is home to over 40 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together.

It can help you with all sorts of tasks, but Microsoft has grander ambitions: a Cortana-powered smart home. It's not letting having Amazon have all the fun anymore.
This space is already pretty crowded with AlexaGoogle Assistant and Siri jostling for our attention, and playing nice with pretty much every gadget and appliance we might allow into our apartments or houses. So Microsoft has plenty of catching up to do and it's not level yet. Microsoft reckons million people already use Cortana, and it does have some advantages over the rest; for instance, it integrates with Microsoft software, which could be really useful for work planning.
To start using Cortana in your home, it's worth noting that you need to first be running the Cortana app on your phone — iPhone iOS 8. So what can Cortana do in the smart home in ? We'll run down a few features that arrived with the Harman Kardon Invoke below as this is what we expect to see from most Cortana devices from now on.
If the features list looks familiar, that's because how Cortana works in the home is very similar to Alexa and Google Voice. The main features are as follows: you can control things like your music, smart thermostat and smart lights via Cortana voice commands, and you can ask questions and receive answers from the web — check the news, weather and traffic, set reminders and manage your calendars.
Cortana uses natural language processing so, like the other AI assistants, you should be able to have a conversation with it rather than barking specific commands. For instance, it knows that "I need a taxi" and "call me a cab" mean the same thing.
Cortana is generally quite accurate at voice recognition. One of the most interesting features is Skype calls. Cortana devices in the home will let you make Skype voice calls to landlines, mobile phones and other Skype devices. This shows that it's bringing Cortana on a par with Amazon and Google, which both have a similar voice calling feature. Like these two rivals, Microsoft may limit this feature to block incoming calls being sent to your home speaker.
Tuya Home Assistant Integration Tutorial (2020)
Makes sense. As for new-ish Cortana features, Cortana is now able to sort through your emails — even a mix of work Outlook mail and personal Gmail, say — and then read out summaries of the most important ones to you very Her. As with Alexa SkillsCortana has its own set of skills to expand smart home controls through Cortana devices.
Cortana Skills can be enabled, like Google Assistant's Actions, without you having to download or install them. You can also head to Microsoft's Cortana Skills site and click on try now to get them going. Cortana will ask for permissions when you do this. You will also have to link your accounts for certain skills to work. Once all of that is done, Cortana can use what it knows about your preferences and schedule to tweak recommendations and experiences.
Microsoft is also trying to woo devs who have already been involved with Alexa by creating a simple method, using its Bot Framework, to port Amazon Skills over to Cortana Skills. Plus, there's that whole effort to get Cortana and Alexa to work together.
As for what Skills are available… In the world of smart home you've got Skills from the likes of Ecobee, Honeywell and Nest for your thermostats.
